Vacancy: In vivo research technician


Sylics runs preclinical neuroscience studies for national and international partners. These studies focus on assessing the effect of novel therapeutic strategies to treat brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and schizophrenia. Sylics is looking for an enthusiastic research technician, motivated to learn new techniques and methods and a drive to perform high quality research.

Job description

As in vivo research technician you will be part of a team of researchers and technicians that is studying mouse models of diseases of the brain. You will contribute to testing of the effectiveness of novel treatments against these diseases by analysing behaviour, brain function, biochemical and immunohistochemical read outs in these models.

Job requirements

  • You completed BSc (HLO) or MSc education in Zoology / Animal sciences or similar
  • You have obtained Article 12/13f.2
  • Good oral and written command of English and Dutch
  • Basic laboratory skills
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry and microscopy is a plus
