Catwalk automated gait analysis system

CatWalk XT is a complete gait analysis system for quantitative assessment of footfalls and locomotion in rats and mice. This system is built by the Dutch company Noldus. It is the most suffisticated system for quantification of footprints and gait in unforced moving animals.  In produces accurate and objective data, validated in peer-reviewed research.

Gait analysis in mouse models

The Catwalk gait analysis system is used by Sylics in various mouse models, including in mouse models of spasticity, vanishing white matter and neurodegeneration. For instance, subtle but very significant changes in motor function are detected in the P301L transgenic tau model of Alzheimer’s disease.
