Sylics has extensive experience with the wide range of brain sectioning techniques. This includes free-floating sections and thin cryosections of brain and muscle tissues, and ultra thin sectioning of nerves. We routinely use sectioning into free floating slices as a relatively quick and robust method to sample multiple brain regions for immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry. Sylics has extensive experience with immunofluorescence staining (IF) and fluorescence microscopy. The main advantage of IF compared to other staining methods is that it allows co-localization of multiple markers and high-resolution microscopy. We have successfully performed IF for a wide range of targets (e.g. protein aggregates, neuroinflammation/glia, synaptic/intracellular markers).
